A built environment speaker with energy
and personality.

B2B speaking and hosting.

What.

When it comes to live events, conferences, and broadcast, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. Customers are time-poor, bombarded with offers of in-person and virtual events and talks to attend, plus need time to get on with their actual work.

Therefore, if you’re putting on a B2B event or any live content, you want to build a reputation for delivering high-quality content with speakers who know their stuff and bring a buzz to your event. You need to be giving your audience a compelling reason to attend so why not get me involved in your line-up to help attract attendees and deliver an inspiring talk.

Who for.

Corporates, associations, industry groups, event and conference organisers and publications.

Ayo Abbas and Stacey Meadwell hosting a LinkedIn Live about B2B Content

B2B event and conference panellist, moderator and host.

In the past few years, different formats of B2B events have grown in popularity. I spotted this trend and have been honing my presenting skills in response. Since 2020, I have delivered a host of online webinars, conferences and podcasts on behalf of associations, industry groups and businesses. As an experienced marketer and content creator I can draft briefs, session outlines and scripts as well as offering advice on sourcing speakers and event formats. Some of my recent talks include:

  • an Enterprise Nation Lunch and Learn session about Selling and Marketing to Corporates

  • going live each month on LinkedIn with ‘It’s A B2B Comms Thing’

  • been interviewed on a host of Instagram Lives

I have also hosted panel sessions as part of the BuildUp built environment networking community on race and diversity, sustainability and business development.

I really liked the case studies with the visual examples illustrating her points. It was also packed with content.

Women In Architecture.

I mentored two Women in Architecture as part of their programme and was invited to be a panelist for their in-person event in June 2023 about Changing The Face of Architecture.

RIBA Guerilla Tactics.

I delivered a one-hour session on the 10 top tips on digital marketing for architects with fellow consultant Susie Lober as part of RIBA’s Guerilla Tactics conference in 2020. Watch here.

What people are saying.

“Ayo works well across mediums from digital to print to events and particularly well in the engineering disciplines and STEM where she translates complex language into something that regular mortals, i.e. customers, can understand.”

Graham Brown-Martin, Former Chief Innovation & Learning Product Officer, pi-top

“Ayo worked with us on the copy for our new industrial-focused website. She was able to listen to what we wanted and work with us to create short succinct text that encapsulates the key messages we want to get across to our clients.”

Hasan Dikme, Managing Director, Stonna Limited

Podcast hosting and appearances.

Podcasts continue to rise in popularity and I have been an avid listener for almost 10 years. I was inspired to set up my own podcast The Built Environment Marketing Show in 2020 which has had over 12000 downloads and a guest list including many leading engineering and architecture pioneers. The show has been shortlisted for a Podcast for Business Award and for an Archiboo Award.

In 2023 I set up, produced and hosted a six-part podcast series called Interchange for my client Meeting of Minds where I interviewed transport leaders and changemakers about how we can make integrated transport happen.

I also regularly guest on built environment, marketing and business related podcasts.
