Marketing for proptech and contech companies

Creating the marketing foundations for proptech and contech growth
What.
PropTech (Proptery technology) and ConTech (Construction Technology) companies occupy a unique space at the intersection of technology and the built environment, often bridging the gap between traditional industry practices and digital innovation.
Technology firms in this space face unique challenges - especially startups and early-stage companies with first-time founders, limited marketing budgets, and the pressures of pre-seed and seed funding rounds.
My work with PropTech and ConTech firms has developed through understanding both sides of the equation - the technology innovators and their built environment clients and how the two can come together.
Having worked with companies at various stages from pre-seed startups to established firms like Stylib, minimass and SiteSolve, I understand the unique pressures facing first-time founders and early-stage companies.
As a marketing consultant, I help construction technology firms articulate their value proposition, develop go-to-market strategies with realistic budgets, and create content that resonates with built environment decision-makers - all while maximising impact from limited resources.
Who for.
Pre-seed and seed-stage PropTech startups, first-time founders, bootstrapped construction technology companies, venture-backed PropTech firms, established technology companies, digital transformation consultancies, and SaaS platforms for the built environment.

Marketing strategy.
I'll work with you to articulate your technology marketing strategy and create the practical marketing plan to get you there. Whether you're preparing for an investment round, launching a new product with limited resources, or trying to gain traction as a first-time founder, I understand the unique challenges of marketing technology to the built environment sector on tight budgets. I can help you develop approaches that speak directly to your target clients' needs and pain points while maximizing every marketing pound spent.
Content creation.
Identifying the themes, topics and messages that will resonate with your target audience in the built environment. Then creating content from case studies and white papers to blogs, opinion pieces and award submissions that highlight your technological innovation and practical applications.
Speaking & training.
I offer engaging training and workshop sessions to help your technical experts become effective communicators of your value proposition. This includes masterclasses, 1-2-1 coaching, and corporate training tailored to technology firms selling to the built environment.

Stylib
I worked closely with Stylib, a growing PropTech firm, during their critical seed-stage growth phase. Providing strategic marketing support for their two former architect founders, I helped them navigate limited resources effectively. My contributions included marketing planning advice, tactical execution guidance, valuable networking opportunities, and marketing mentorship for their C-level executives. My ability to position their product in industry context and develop their emerging value proposition delivered significant impact as they successfully navigated early funding rounds.
minimass.
I worked with contech firm minimass’ founder, a 3D printed concrete structures start up, to develop an early stage marketing plan to raise visibility in order to attract partners for a pilot project and also position them with potential funders.
I have subsequently provided further marketing advice for minimass covering PR and LinkedIn approaches.
SiteSolve.
When SiteSolve, a generative AI site viability tool, was trying to understand its proposition in the architectural design market, I was on hand to help.
I worked with them to inform their go-to market strategy and messaging. I then developed written content for their website, PR and LinkedIn.
